Ana Figueroa is a Los Angeles-based journalist. She is a former practicing attorney and staff reporter for the Los Angeles Bureau of Newsweek Magazine. Ana currently serves as a contributing editor for Travel Agent Magazine and publisher of

Her previous experience includes breaking news, political and entertainment reporting for The New York Daily News and People Magazine.

Ana’s travel writing has appeared in Travel Weekly; Luxury Travel Advisor; Travel Market Report; Travel Age West; Cruise Critic; Porthole Cruise Magazine; The Boston Globe; Conde Nast UK; Hemispheres Magazine and other publications. Ana wrote a long-running travel column for AARP’s bilingual magazine and website, AARP Viva, and co-authored the Moon Metro Las Vegas guidebook for Avalon Travel Publishing. She was cruise editor and senior editor of TravelAge West. She also served as director of communications for the river cruise line AmaWaterways.

Ana holds a law degree from Stanford University.

She has made television and radio appearances on the “Today Show,” “The O’Reilly Factor,” “Politically Correct with Bill Maher,” “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren,” “CNN Headline News” and NPR.
