Crystal Bach Christening
Crystal River Cruises has officially introduced Crystal Bach. The first newbuild for the line, Bach was christened in Rudesheim, Germany this week.
Soprano Anna-Maria Kaufmann performed double duty at the ceremony. She served as godmother and provided a few musical interludes.
As is customary in the cruise business, the ship is part of a series. This one is called the “Rhine Class,” and it consists of four ships. Following Bach will be Crystal Mahler, which comes on line in September. Crystal Debussy and Crystal Ravel (notice a theme here?) debut in the spring of 2018.
The all-balcony, all-suite river ships will “raise the bar for cruising in the region and for river cruising in general,” said Crystal CEO Edie Rodriguez Rodriguez, “
She added: “This ship is more than just a new river vessel. It brings luxury amenities and décor that surpass anything seen so far on the rivers of Europe, a standard of luxury and elegance that had been missing until the launch of Crystal Mozart last year.”
